Steve Jobs
A genius, a visionary, a father, a world changer, dies at the age of 56.
Steve Jobs, together with Steve Wozniak, created the first Apple computer out of Steve's parents' garage in April 1976. On October 5th, 2011 Steve left this world, dying in peace, surrounded by his family, after battling a rare type of pancreatic cancer.
Behind him he leaves a legacy of revolutionary products, including Macintosh, iPod, iPhone and iPad.
He is personally responsible for having revolutionised six different industries.
Microsoft founder, Bill Gates said "For those of us lucky enough to get to work with Steve, it was an insanely great honour, I will miss him immensely".
"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," Apple said. "Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve."
